1v1 ME BRO | Presented by Drought

EVENT FORMAT

Players will compete in a single elimination bracket. All necessary gaming equipment will be provided by Drought®.

  • 1v1

  • Rust only

  • Best of 1

  • Game Time: 5 minutes

    • Highest score within allotted time wins the match

  • Semi Final and Final Matches: 

    • Unlimited time

    • First to 2500 points wins

REGISTRATION

Players will register in person with the Drought® tournament organizers. This event is capped at 64 entrants.

RESTRICTIONS

Players will be provided a preset class to use for this event. Players must use this class throughout the entirety of the event.

  • Primary weapon: Intervention

  • Quickscoping is encouraged

  • No scoping is encouraged

  • Players may not camp and/or hardscope

  • No knifing allowed at any point during gameplay

  • No secondary weapons are allowed at any point during gameplay

  • No utility is allowed at any point during gameplay

    • Ex. Grenade, flash, tactical knife, etc.


Players will be issued a warning for first infraction. Players will be disqualified from the tournament for subsequent infractions at the discretion of the tournament officials.

PLAYER CONDUCT

Players are expected to behave appropriately and respect all gaming equipment and the venue space. Players will receive a warning for the first instance of inappropriate behavior. Repeat offenders will be disqualified from the tournament or removed from the venue at the tournament organizer’s discretion.

GAMEPLAY

Players must report to their match five (5) minutes before the match is expected to begin. Once a match is called, players must check in with the tournament organizers. Any players that do not report within five (5) minutes of their match being called will be disqualified at the tournament organizers discretion. Once seated, players will have a short period of time to adjust gameplay settings. 

Players will wait at the team selection page until cleared to begin their match by event officials.

TIE BREAKERS

In the event of a tie, players will play an additional game of one (1) minute in length. The player with the highest score wins.

If players are tied after the tie breaker match, players will play a Best of 1 Rock, Paper, Scissors match to determine the winner. 

SCORE REPORTING

Once a match has concluded, the winner of the match must report to a tournament organizer to report the score of the match.

ISSUE RESOLUTION

If an issue should arise, the reporting player will raise their hand and audibly call out loud for a “REF!”. Tournament organizers will assess the situation and determine how to proceed. The tournament organizers' decision is final.

Example valid issues to report:

  • Opponent is using unapproved weapons or not using the designated class.

  • Opponent is knifing or using utility.

  • Opponent is camping.
